EXPLORING PARTICIPANT GENERATED EXAMPLES OF SOCIAL CHANGE

I was given the opportunity during the summer of 2025 to create an animated explainer video to go alongside a study led by Dr Miles Thompson and Dr Ben Rosser (from UWE Bristol and Liverpool John Moores University respectively) that explores different examples of social change, the public's perception of these changes and why they are needed.

I worked on this project alongside fellow animator and filmmaker Phoebe Ryall, and together we aimed to create a simple visual aid that would help audiences digest the information within the study more easily. We took on joint responsibilities for creative direction, storyboarding and animating the video, and through this project I was taught how to collaborate with a fellow artist efficiently, with both of us communicating well, sharing ideas and compromising in order to achieve a cohesive vision for the project.

The video has been released alongside the research paper, and can be viewed in its entirety via the link below, as well as an article for the study itself.
